Students’ Accomplishments:
The Institute is forever striving hard for excellence. Students are admitted to the dept. through rigorous admission procedure. They are provided with an in-depth knowledge of the subject. They are also exposed to the industry. The Institute organises Leadership Development Camps for the students every year to develop and enhance leadership qualities. The Department also arranges for the two months on-the-job training for the students. Students work hard to match their individual goals with those of the Dept. Following are some of the accomplishments of our students—

N.E.T.
From the year 2000 the UGC has started national level eligibility test for lectures in the field of tourism. Many of our students have cleared that test.

S.E.T.
Till date no state level eligibility test for lecturers has been conducted in the field of tourism.

In the Himachal Administrative Services (H.A.S) the Department is proud to state that two of our students have been selected into Himachal Administrative Services. More than five students have qualified for H.A.S. Allied examinations. The Dept. has also produced outstanding sports personalities in the field of Table Tennis, Cricket & Chess. 

The Institute is proud to announce 100% placements of its students. The placements have covered a number of professions like academic, travel and hotel industry & own entrepreneurship. Some well known organisations where our students have already been absorbed are SITA travels, TCI, Cox & Kings, NEPC, Hotel Hyatt Regency, Hotel Oberoi, Orbit, Holiday Maker, Paradise, Lufthansa Airlines, ITFT, Chandigarh etc. etc.. The placement activities of the Dept. are carried out through a placement cell. This placement cell is looked after by a placement officer who works in close coordination & cooperation with the industry. Majority of our students get absorbed in organisations with salary ranging from  Rs.12,000/- onwards
